PostSubject: better ways to help each other lvl!!!   February 13th 2008, 3:22 am

Ok we need to think of a better ways to get everyone as close as 50!!!
Like better Guild xp Party!!! We cant just do random things!!!
Not trying to be selfish but there is something we r missing here...
we got the Pb thing down so we can get this xp thing down too!
I know that most of us is not even close to 47 or less and the people that r lvl 47
and above r trying to get to lvl 50!!!
so if you have any suggesting plz let us know!!!

Yes i also know the timezone thing! We need to work around it maybe not pb everyday just every other days
I am trying to think of something that is not cutting into your sleep, work, school, and your real life time here Smile

ABa parties for l35-l41
VC Ash parties for l42-43
VC Granite parties for l44-45
VC Baba parties for l46+

Get behind the tanks, and nag them to take guild parties every time they're online.

Of course you can do those targets at different levels, but i think you learn more doing things at the right stage.

I guess we lack of higher levels willing to help the lower ones. Often someone asks for a guild party ... lvl 46+: ok, let's do babas ... lvl 46-: sorry, they are to high -> no party. I know the xp in lower level parties isn't that good but in the end you may help yourself by helping lower lvls b/c they catch up with you ...

Something about tanking:
Tanking is somewhat boring for me but on the other hand you need to concentrate on what you doing the whole time. Sorry but I can't do that day by day for hours. When you're the only tank in party you can't take some breaks b/c the whole party needs to stop then. When a dpser goes afk for some mins nobody really cares as long as there is enough dps left. The tank can't do it. And at last when somebody dies you feel guilty b/c it is your job to make sure nobody dies.

Hopefully it's just me and our other tanks enjoy their job.

what we lack of is ppl who can start a party. back when i still want to xp, most of time always i am the only who had to ask ppl and put a party together. now that i am more focusing on pting, rarely have someone will spam guild chat and get ppl together. Dadoo, Gaya, shlia the three of you are the main tanks in our guild, anyone + one of you = ya got a party going. just keep asking in guild if anyone wanna party. if cant fill the spot with all guildies then go ask in global chat.

i know BK gets boring after awhile, but you can just set a limit. one party for 1 or 2 hours then break time. thats how cloudy did it, actually many other tanks that i have party with they all set a limit. after 2 or 3 hours they go take a break, you dont have to just staying there and keep on partying until other ppl got to go.

It's not only about setting a limit.

Example: Baba party
People await that you pull the mobs and tank them. That way you have to be active 100% of the time. Best would be you can solo the babas too so people simple can leech... About 50% of the mages don't care about you. You need to ask for speed and purge. It's not really fun and that's why I prefer someone else to pull the mobs.

Second thing I really miss is the "guild first". Yes ... when I would be in another party and guild is asking for help then I would break the party. I see this rarely happen in Requiem. But ok, I do my own things then too. But the question remains: Why are you part of a guild then?

About what you said about helping the lower lvls, if they can get in a baba party fine but I won't do granites anymore. There is a high chance that I will get 1shotted by granites and lose exp that will take 4 or 5 hours of granites to regain.

Sorry, but the prospect of losing up to 20% exp from one death isn't that enticing when each monster you kill nets you a beastly .01% exp, and it's not like dying is a rare thing for me. High dps = agro = death sometimes even if the tanks are trying their hardest to hold the agro.

If you need an aba party or something like that I don't mind because they can't 1hit me anymore but granites = nono.

@ lol:

I see your point and can go with it. And well it doesn't feel good when you tank and someone dies... But we have a lot of graziers too and Isis doesn't lose xp I guess Wink

And to all casters: plz plz don't use close range spells when you can't take a hit. It's different for us tanks when a mob needs to run to you or it just needs to turn around and kill you.

Just to let you (all) know:
Tanks have 2 skills to hold aggro. One against a single target (10 secs delay) and an area skill (30 secs delay). The second one doesn't work always how it should be. Worst case: it doesn't affect the mob close to you but aggros another mob/mobs and you have to deal with it too.

The first skill can fail too but it happens about 1 in 100+ times. But there is still the 10 secs delay. Some mobs switch target faster now and then -> hit 2nd skill and hope it works.

if we will take a move then we have two solutions

1)Dont plvl at all concentrate lvling up get near 50 then do BIG BIG fast plvl for the rest of guild

2)Get our head of lvling concentrate on getting everyone 45+ then lvl up all together

other wise we will be cut betwen lvling and plvling whitch i dont like

thats is the only way we will make positive move in the issues
(or thats how i see it)

Lvling is important, but so is PT. A big thing is that lower levels are afraid of gimping if they Plvl, or if they focus too strongly on lvling. I think it would be great if our guild had an Acc or Bell that was a high lvl to pt on. It doesn't need pt, or anything like that. Lvl is all that matters when trying to pt. We could do guild parties for exp, and a pt dummy for those who are gimped or are afraid of gimping.

yeah, I agree with Transience too. my pts are gimp, and pting would go a lot faster if there was always a high lvl acc/bell to pt on, rather than trying to find a random involuntary one, even though I usually settle for only get +25 for it :\ pting is the only thing holding me back from leveling and avoiding exp parties, really. ):

I ran ideas across with Bloodica, and it is highly unrealistic... say we have an ACC. We have no way to get it funds for pots, no way to heal it, nothing. My only other idea, is putting it so someone controlling it can walk it back when it dies. This, too, is unrealistic... If anyone's willing to lvl up an Acc or Bell, though, it is possible! Just time/effort consuming.
